NAC Breda

NAC Breda is a football team. The stadium is in Breda. It started in 1912. The highlights in the history are the championship in 1921. They won also the KNVB CUP in 1973. And a few years ago they played in the UEFA CUP. They played between Newcastle United in England. In the match in England they lost with 5-0. In Breda they lost with 1-0. NAC Breda this season

At the beginning of this season, NAC was an underdog in the competition. Nobody had trust in the team and they thought they couldn’t be better then the thirteenth place. But they have everybody surprised this season. The trainer Ernie Brands and his team were third in the competition. At the beginning of the season they won some matches and they and they los some matches. And they stood ninth in the competition. At the half season they began with them good competition. The won nearly all matches and they were good in the race for the play-offs for the champions league. On less the amazing performance, Ernie brands was discharge and a few months ago Robert Maaskant was present as the new trainer of NAC Breda. At the end of the season NAC Breda was ending to the third place, whole the Netherlands was surprised, nobody understand why Brands was discharged. With the third place, NAC was ranked for the play offs for champions league. Their first match, behind FC Twente they lost for twice times with 3-0 and 1-5 and they were cut out for a champions league place. The second math, behind SC Heerenveen, they lost again and the third match, behind NEC Nijmegen, they lost too, so they are cut out for the Champions League, so for the Uefa cup, after a wonderful season.

The players

NAC Breda has a good selection. They have three keepers. Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Edwin Zoetebier are the first and the second keepers. The third keeper is playing in young NAC Breda. And the fourth keeper is playing also in young NAC Breda. NAC Breda has also very good defenders. In the Centrum of the defenders are playing nearly always Patrick Zwaanswijk and Rob Penders. Tyrone Loran is reserve for the Centrum off the defenders. Nearly the whole season was he captain of the team, because the first captain was injured. The left back defender is almost Patrick Mtilliga or sometimes Ahmed Ammi. The right back defender was the whole season Kurt Elshot. He played perfect. A few times play Sander Fischer in Nac Breda, because Tyrone Loran and Patrick Zwaanswijk were injured. He is a very young player. The midfielders are also very good. The captain Edwin de Graaf played almost right midfield. And he was injured the whole season. NAC Breda has a good midfielder for the future: Danny Gorter. Also they have Ronny Stam who self comes out Breda. They hired also Rogier Molhoek and he played a very good season. Nac wants he stay, but he is very expensive. In the attack has Nac Breda also very good player. The real sport striker off NAC Breda is Matthew Amoah. He is two seasons by NAC Breda now. This season is there one too. Fouad Idabdelhay is a very young player and scored a few times by NAC Breda. The back attackers are Viktor Sikora, Joonas Kolkka, sometimes Ahmed Ammi and Anthony Lurling. Viktor Sikora is going to leave NAC Breda and he is going to goes to GBA in Belgium. The player who scored at most off NAC Breda is Matthew Amoah with 10 goals.

Sing on the tribune

NAC Breda has a lot of clubsongs. The four sides in the stadium everybody sing the songs. Specialy Vak G, B-Side and the ERE-Tribune. B-Side sing the most. Because there sit the loyalty supporters. In Vak G are the most hooligans.

In a night NAC Breda become a lot of sing. There is an amazing atmosphere between the supporters. NAC Breda played sometimes friday evening. But mostly saturday evening. They play also sometimes sunday afternoon. Almost at half three. An evening NAC Breda start at eight hour and if they win the match the supporters have a party in Breda.

If NAC Breda are playing in another town. The supporters have to go with the train and see eachother in the cafe and singing there a lot of NAC Breda songs. Also in the train if he is riding.

There are also songs between the club NAC Breda is playing. An exemple is between Sparta a club in Rotterdam. A player of Sparta Rotterdam is Sjack Polak. His mother supported for NAC Breda. And there sings the supporters about.

Rat Verlegh Stadium

The stadium of NAC Breda called Rat Verlegh stadium. It is official opened in 1996. Before 1996 NAC Breda played in an another stadium in the Beatrixroad. Then called the Beatrix stadium. But it was on fire and the stadium totaly burned. So they played since 1996 in Rat Verlegh Stadium.In 1996 NAC played its first friendly match between Gremio in a new stadium. And it's now the the stadium of NAC Breda. The name of the stadium has always got a sponsor name in it. The real name was MyCom Stadium. But the supporters of NAC named it the Rat Verlegh stadium. Because the greatest player of all times in Breda: Antoon rat Verlegh. The sponsor name has been change in season 2005-2006 when the president decided to give the Stadium the real name supporters want: Rat Verlegh stadium.
